The 5th Annual RadioContraband Rock Radio Convention & Awards concluded with a private showcase featuring national recording artist, Rachel Lorin, and the band Shallow Side. Although the awards and this showcase were not open to the public, it was streamed live and you can watch the video below.
The night prior, was another showcase at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip featuring All That Remains, DED, Radkey and Righteous Vendetta.
Congratulations to the RadioContraband Award winners! Highlights include Kaleo for being the ‘New Artist of the Year’, Ghost on picking up ‘Indie Artist of the Year’ and Metallica for taking home the ‘Artist of the Year’ award. Click HERE for the complete list of winners.
Starting out the showcase first was Alabama-based band, Shallow Side. I saw this group a few months ago in Chicago and was so eager to see them again in Vegas. They are such a talented four-piece band and their tunes are amazing. Their showmanship is impeccable and I wish nothing but the best for them and hope they have amazing success.
Closing out the night was New York City resident, Rachel Lorin. She rocked Vegas and took my breath away with her phenomenal vocals accompanied by an excellent backing band. Rachel used the stage to her advantage and is a true entertainer. She’s got a bright future ahead of her.
